CountBOX SmartDevice 3D is the 5th generation product of CountBOX. The hardware platform is a smart, highly dynamic stereoscopic camera with sufficient on-board computing power to bundle precise image processing and feature-rich application software.
Overhead People counting (schematic illustration)
CountBOX SmartDevice 3D counts the persons within the configured visual range based on stereoscopic imaging and image processing. The counting data are transferred via different interfaces for external processing. The results can be verified using video streaming (optional). This enables a precise proof of the counting accuracy.
The integrated software evaluates the stereoscopic images. Persons within the monitored area are recognised automatically and their movements are tracked across the subsequent images. CountBOX SmartDevice 3D, therefore, can count the number of persons that enter or leave a vehicle, building or event location. The software provides the following functions:
The counting data are transferred via interfaces to the external processing system.
• Full responsive HTML5 web interface
• Automatic calibration of height and angle
• Noon-site measurements necessary
• Automatic calibration of floor geometry
• Polygonal-shaped monitoring area up to 8m by 8m
• Configuration via remote access possible
• Up to 10 polygonal shaped counting lines
• Different counting modes possible by individual counting delays
for each line and direction
• Logical combinations of counting lines
• No counting of non-person objects (i.e. shopping carts or luggage)
• Separate counting results for adults and children possible
• More object classes available in the future
• Up to 8 users defined zones possible
• Output of current number of people in each zone
• Additional statistics for each zone like average waiting time, queue monitoring
• More than 24h of on-board recording of video data and sensor results for verification purposes (optional)
